Yesterday I read this and couldn’t believe my eyes:
“For the second year in a row, the U.S. military has lost more troops to suicide than it has to combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
I still don’t know what to say. It makes me sad. It makes me feel trapped and hopeless. It makes me anxious about the world my daughters will inherit from me.
This is why I do my best to avoid substantive current events.
